At Formgrid, we want you to be satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy explains our refund process and terms for paid subscription plans.

2. Subscription Refunds

2.1 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with our Service within the first 30 days of your initial subscription, you may request a full refund of your subscription fee.

To be eligible for a refund under this guarantee:

  • You must request the refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase
  • The refund request must be made through our support channels
  • This guarantee applies only to the first subscription period

2.2 Renewal and Subsequent Periods

Subscription fees for renewal periods are generally non-refundable. However, we may consider refunds for renewal periods on a case-by-case basis in exceptional circumstances, such as:

  • Service unavailability for extended periods due to our fault
  • Billing errors on our part
  • Technical issues that prevent you from using the Service

3. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us through one of the following methods:

  • Submit a support ticket through our GitHub issues
  • Email our support team
  • Contact us through your account dashboard

Please include the following information in your refund request:

  • Your account email address
  • Subscription plan and billing period
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Transaction ID or invoice number (if available)

4. Refund Processing

Once your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used
  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan immediately upon refund approval
  • You will receive email confirmation when the refund is processed

Note: Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider. Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days, but may take up to 30 days in some cases.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Subscriptions cancelled after the 30-day money-back guarantee period
  • Partial refunds for unused portions of a subscription period
  • Subscriptions that have been used for violations of our Terms of Service
  • Subscriptions cancelled due to account termination for policy violations
  • Any additional services or features purchased separately (unless specified otherwise)

6. Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will prevent future billing cycles, but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period.

Refund: A refund returns the payment you've already made. Refunds are subject to the terms outlined in this policy.

After cancellation, you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your account will then be downgraded to the Free plan.

7. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback instead of contacting us for a refund, we reserve the right to:

  • Immediately suspend or terminate your account
  • Dispute the chargeback with your payment provider
  • Refuse future service to your account

We encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback.

8. Self-Hosted Instances

This refund policy applies only to our hosted SaaS service. If you are using a self-hosted instance of Formgrid (open source), this policy does not apply, as no payment is made to us for self-hosted installations.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our website. Changes will apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the effective date of the change.
